About Emily Strange
Emily Strange was born in Columbus, Ohio. At a young age she found herself involved in anything creative, including throwing pottery and creating stained glass pieces at age twelve.
Her first piece was featured in an art show in 2009 and since then she has shown her work in a number of different galleries, exhibits, and solo/group shows. She has worked with all mediums, with strengths in photography, painting, text, mixed media, installation, and video.
Emily moved to New York City in 2010 to study at Parsons The New School of Design for her BFA and graduated in 2014. While studying at Parsons, Emily worked as a freelance photographer, with her photography featured on album covers, websites, and magazines, including Timeout New York.
Emily is now a full time artist using her art as a voice to touch on her own personal struggles (Addiction, Abuse, Rape, Mental Illness) and the struggles of others.
